The Holiday Inn Boardman has won IHG’s Torchbearer Award for the 1 year period ending 12/31/16. The Torchbearer Award is IHG’s highest award for guest service quality. The Holiday Inn Boardman has won 20 service awards over the years including 14 of the Torchbearer Awards. The hotel is one of the most decorated hotels in the chain and was also the first hotel, in 2004, to win the Kemmons Wilson Spirit of Service Award.

The Holiday Inn Boardman currently ranks in the top 5 percent of all the Holiday Inns in the area of customer service. The Hotel has recently completed a renovation that included a beautiful redesign of all 158 rooms. The rooms now showcase a sleek modern look, with a great use of color and fabric. The room renovation is a complete revision of the rooms, which includes new wall covering, carpet, flooring, furniture, lighting, fixtures, microwaves, refrigerators, bedding, and complete bathroom remodel.

Probably the most stunning aspect of the remodel are the hotels seven suites. They are large, vibrant, and both practical and luxurious. They feature a separate sleeping area and living room area, full size refrigerators and 65 inch televisions. Hotel management gives full credit to this award and the previous awards to its experienced and dedicated staff. The hotel has numerous associates who have been part of the team for over 20 years.
